Stephen and Mary have several services under the umbrella of Merrimuse Enterprises. They are jazz musicians and produce a concert series in downtown South Bend, called Merrimans’ Playhouse Jazz Performance Series, once per month. Currently, these concerts are performed at Century Center, Recital Hall. With Stephen on drums, and Mary on the double bass, each concert features a different guest artist(s) to create a unique trio or quartet ensemble. Stephen and Mary also perform as The Merrimans in the Michiana area.

Stephen and Mary also do garden design and rejuvenation. This division of service, Little Earth, is "small but mighty garden design with nature in mind."
